Bio Field Study

4:26 November 30 31º Cloudy, cold, and windy conditions  9 hours and 8 minutes     For my last field study nothing much has chanted from the one prior. Besides the fact that all of the snow has melted the conditions have stayed almost the same. There was about a week long period of warmer weather that got into the low 50s. The past 2 days it has declined back down to below freezing. I can hear the trees swaying back in fourth in the wind. The wind is on stronger side today with a wind high of 25 mph. At this point basically all of the summer animals have migrated south or are burrowed away for the winter. I'm ready for a good cold and snow filled winter thats coming ahead. 

 4:27 November 17 36ºF Cloudy and dreary conditions  9 hours 47 minutes  The weather conditions have changed quite a bit from the last visit. It has already snowed! I tend to keep my expectations low for first snow of the year just so I don't disappoint myself, but I don't have to worry about that. We got the mass majority of the snow on the 12th and 13th. By now since the ground is still somewhat warm it has begun to melt already, but we expect more later this week. The temperature has also changed quite a bit from the las visit, dropping as much as 20 degrees. Aside from a few cars out in the distance and a bit of wind there is almost no noise coming from the nature. By this time almost all if not all of the insects have moved out for the winter and the birds have migrated. My guess is that even if we get a few more warmer days this will be it until next spring.

 1:15 October 30  60ºF Cloudy with lots of sunlight 10 hours 24 minutes This visit has been much more exciting than the last. Although it is cloudy the sun seems to be going straight through the clouds because it is bright as any other sunny day. It is somewhat warmer out than it was last visit as well. I'm hearing much more birds this time and insects from the last. Another thing I wasn't expecting was for the mass majority of the leaves are gone now. Last visit I had thought it would be a little longer till they started to fall, but there are already some bare trees. I was also able to get some cool close up shots of a wasps well, which I haven't been able to do much of in my past visits. 

 5:15 October 14 54ºF Cloudy Conditions  11 hours and 21 minutes of day For this visit things are pretty quite. I really only hear some cars in the distance and a very very faint sound of crickets or some sort of buzzing insects. The only bird I hear anymore is a few crows a little ways away. I suspect that there aren't many if any of summer birds left, most of them have surely began to migrate south. There is a slight wind but nothing compared to my last visit. The leaves have also changed quite a bit from my last visit as well. There were only a handful of new colors but now there are only a handful of the old green leaves. I expect that it will be similar for my next visit, but the one after that I think they will have began to fall. I'm curious as to when the summer birds do start to migrate, if it is earlier than now or later. Also the insects. I have never heard of insects migrating and I know that they don't.  7:30 September 28  51º F Windy Conditions  12 hours and and 9 minutes  The wind has picked up quite a bit from the last visit. The crickets have died down a ways as well. This very well could be due to the increase of the wind, but also the colder weather. I can still hear the leaves in the wind just as much as the last visit, they have not began to fall yet.
